Halloween 3 (1982) anthology

Wiki Article

Halloween 3 is the slogan for "Witchcraft enters the computer age, and a different terror begins."

"Halloween 3: Season of the Witch" came out in 1982, but fans of Halloween and the second Halloween movie didn't like it because Myers wasn't in it.

Carpenter and Hill wanted to make a new Halloween film every year. It would have been like a collection of short stories, where each one told a different story. This would have been a cool idea, and I kind of wish they could have gone further with it. It didn't work out, though.

Several days before Halloween, a patient brought into the hospital clutching a Halloween mask is murdered while still under Challis' care.

His daughter, Ellie (Stacey Nelkin), joins him as he sets off for a meeting in Santa Mira in order to meet with Silver Shamrock Company's CEO. Silver Shamrock has sold millions of Halloween masks in the United States thanks to an extensive marketing effort that includes a catchy melody.

(The Silver Shamrock factory is designed in the style of a milk factory.)

They're also pushing youngsters to watch a Halloween night show in costume. Dr. Challis and Ellie learn that Silver Shamrock CEO Conal Cochran (Dan O'Herlihy) is scheming something that, if successful, would kill hundreds or millions of innocent people.

In Halloween III: Season of the Witch, just a few short clips from the original Halloween are shown on TV, and there is no link to Michael Halloween III Season of the Witch Decker Shado Myers, Dr. Loomis, Strode, or Haddonfield. Despite its variations from the previous two films, it is an excellent picture in its own right.

Even while the film has flaws, it does have some memorable sequences. One of them is a scene in which Buddy Kupfer's family is used as guinea pigs for Cochran to try out his cunning idea. Kupfer, a salesperson who was responsible for the sale of a significant number of masks, was rewarded for his success with a VIP tour of the manufacturing facility.

As the action unfolded, Little Buddy (Brad Schacter) was confined in a tiny room, while his father, Big Buddy, donned the Silver Shamrock mask and watched the Halloween night show. Needless to say, things quickly escalated, and the devastation was heartbreaking to see. Conal Cochran's history lecture, in which he recounted the actual origins of Halloween, was also famous for its bloodshed.

My favorite films in the Halloween franchise are the ones that came after Halloween III, all of which starred Michael Myers. However, I can't help but wonder whether Carpenter and Hill would have followed through on their initial idea to extend the Halloween franchise.

I can't say I blame anybody for avoiding Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. The person who put the number "3" to it, in my opinion, is to blame (which led people to think it was another sequel).

In any event, it's already finished, but the fact that I loved Halloween III makes the outright implosion's complete disappointment a bit easier to take.

Tommy Lee Wallace is responsible for the direction of this film.

Movie stars Dan O'Herlihy, Stacey Nelkin, and Tom Atkins.
